Moddie Turay

Moddie Turay is an accomplished community and economic development executive with over 22 years of experience in both public and private sectors. Prior to his appointment as MHIC’s President and CEO in July 2022, he was the Founder & CEO of City Growth Partners, a Detroit-based real estate development company whose mission is to advance neighborhoods through developments that are socially, architecturally, and economically catalytic. He also served as the Executive Vice President of Real Estate and Finance at the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation and had development roles with Western Development Corporation in Washington DC and the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) in the Public Buildings Service. Moddie was also a 2022 Loeb Fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Design and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Saint Augustine’s University in Raleigh, NC.
